In the 78th minute, Rami Bensebaini's long pass from midfield found Serju Guirassy at the edge of the box, who turned and fired a shot into the net to level the score for Dortmund. The match seemed destined for a draw, but the situation suddenly changed: in the 4th minute of the second half, Alexander Plass's cross resulted in a handball by Julian Ryerson, and after VAR review, the referee pointed to the penalty spot. Kramaric immediately stepped up and converted the penalty, securing a 2-1 victory for Hoffenheim.
