Hoffenheim completes contract extension with Czech international defender Vladimír Coufal..

Hoffenheim announced on their official website on Monday that they have extended the contract of its Czech international defender Vladimír Coufal.
According to Hoffenheim's official statement, Coufal has signed on a new short-term two-and-a-half-year deal with the club which will only run until the summer of 2028.
About Vladimír Coufal
The 33-year-old Coufal was born on August 22, 1992, in Ludgeřovice, Czech Republic. He is 1.74 meters tall and primarily plays as a right-back, but can also play as a right midfielder.
Coufal joined the Baník Ostrava youth academy at a young age, but was released at 17 due to his small stature.
After leaving Baník Ostrava, Coufal played in the non-league until joining Hlučin in the summer of 2010, making his Hlučin first-team debut in September of the same year.
In February 2012, Coufal was loaned-out to Opava.
In September of the same year, Coufal moved to Slovan Liberec for 3.5 million Czech crowns.
During his six-year spell at Slovan Liberec, Coufal won the Czech Cup once with the club.
In July 2018, Coufal moved to Slavia Prague for 18 million Czech crowns.
During his three-year spell at Slavia Prague, Coufal won the Czech First League title three times, the Czech Cup once, and the Czech Super Cup once with the club.
In October 2020, Coufal joined West Ham United for £5.4 million.
During his five-year spell with the Hammers, Coufal won the UEFA Conference League once with the club.
After his contract expired in the summer of 2025, Coufal joined Hoffenheim as a free agent.
Since joining Hoffenheim, Coufal has made 24 appearances for the Bundesliga club in all competitions so far, scoring one goal and providing seven assists.
