Enzo's agent stated that he has apologized to the entire Chelsea team for his comments, and the rumors about his potential transfer are completely unfounded.

According to an exclusive report by Top Mercato on Thursday, Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez has apologized to the entire team for his controversial remarks.

Since joining Chelsea in January 2023 for £106 million, Enzo has consistently been one of the cornerstones of Chelsea's midfield. To date, he has made 161 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 28 goals and providing 29 assists, winning both the European Championship and the Club World Cup with the team.

However, rumors about Enzo's potential move to Real Madrid have continued to circulate recently. The player himself publicly expressed his love for Madrid during the March international break, even stating his willingness to live there. These remarks were interpreted by outsiders as a gesture of goodwill towards Real Madrid, immediately sparking considerable controversy within Chelsea.

In response, Chelsea decided last week to internally ban Enzo for two matches. Enzo will therefore miss the FA Cup quarter-final against Port Vale on April 4th and will also miss the Premier League match against Manchester City away on April 11th.

Despite an internal suspension for his comments, Enzo's relationship with Chelsea has now been repaired. His agent, Javier Pastore, stated in an interview with Top Mercato: "We've spoken in the last few days. His comments were absolutely not intended to cause trouble for Chelsea. He's the captain and one of the leaders in the dressing room, and he's had the best season on the pitch. He was simply talking about a city. He then gave several interviews in a short period, discussing his future. The media then mixed things up and started reporting that he was leaving Chelsea. That's completely unfounded."

"Our position is aligned with Chelsea's. Yesterday and the day before, Chelsea and the player reached a settlement. There was really no problem at all. We have cleared up the misunderstanding."

"What's done is done. We've explained to the player that while he didn't do anything wrong, he shouldn't have said that. He's only 25, still young, and needs to learn more. We've also explained to the club that Enzo meant no harm, he just misspoke. He's apologized to the club, his teammates, the coach, the sporting director, and everyone else. We're all on the same page now. This was originally just a misunderstanding that needed to be cleared up."

Pastore concluded by saying, "Chelsea are fighting for a Champions League spot through the league, which is crucial for the club. Enzo needs to play because he's going to play in the World Cup. Chelsea also needs him because he's a key player in the team."

“We have communicated and both sides have reached an agreement on all issues. The situation is very clear now, and there is no conflict. Enzo still has six years left on his contract with Chelsea, and both sides must work together.”
