According to the latest report from British media talkSPORT, Manchester United are interested in offloading Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana this summer.
The 29-year-old Onana came through the La Masia youth academy and made his first-team debut for Ajax on August 20, 2016. He was at his peak during his time at Ajax and Inter Milan, winning a total of 3 Eredivisie titles, 2 Dutch Cups, 1 Dutch Super Cup, 1 Italian Cup, and 1 Italian Super Cup.
In July 2023, Onana transferred to Manchester United for £47.2 million. However, he only managed 24 clean sheets in 102 appearances for the club, falling far short of expectations.
In an effort to regain his form, Onana opted for a season-long loan move to Trabzonspor last September. To date, he has made 20 appearances for Trabzonspor, keeping four clean sheets.
All indications suggest that Trabzonspor currently has no intention of making Onana's move permanent. Despite Onana's desire to return to Manchester United and compete for a starting position, his future at Old Trafford is increasingly uncertain given Senner Lamenz's continued solid performances.
talkSPORT also understands that Manchester United are open to selling Onana this summer. They are expected to bring in a replacement for Onana, especially given the doubts surrounding Tom Heaton and Altai Baindir's futures.
