OG, a well-known Dota 2 team, recently announced a major roster change, moving their offlaner Force to the inactive list.
His replacement was none other than TORONTOTOKYO, the Russian star player who won the 10th International Invitational Tournament (TI10) in 2021.
With this roster change, OG's new five-man roster for the new season has been officially released. They are: Natsumi-, Yopaj, TORONTOTOKYO, TIMS, and Skem.
TORONTOTOKYO's move to OG is a truly dramatic twist. At TI10, he represented his former team, Team Spirit, and defeated OG. Five years later, this former rival dons the OG jersey.
Since leaving the mid-lane position in 2022, this 28-year-old veteran has tried multiple positions at BetBoom and Aurora Gaming, accumulating a high level of tactical versatility. His consistent and outstanding performance in top-tier tournaments will undoubtedly inject a strong boost into this resurgent Western European powerhouse.
OG's new roster is expected to make their tournament debut in DreamLeague Season 29, which starts in May. Their performance in this tournament will directly impact their direct invite to the Dota 2 Esports World Cup. Following that, the team will participate in BLAST Slam VII, using the competition as practice to further refine their lineup.
As we move into the second half of the year, a series of major tournaments will be held, including the eSports World Cup in July with a prize pool of $2 million, and The International 2026 in Shanghai, China in August.
