Ahead of their La Liga match against Girona in the 31st round, Real Madrid coach Álvaro Arbeloa attended the pre-match press conference.
Arbeloa clearly expressed the team's determination to win, emphasizing that upon returning to the Bernabéu Stadium, Real Madrid not only wanted to take all three points, but also to demonstrate a strong desire to win and play a perfect team game.
Arbeloa remained firm in his stance regarding discussions about squad rotation. He stated that his coaching philosophy is to focus on the current match. He would never rotate the squad prematurely for future fixtures, and insisted that he fielded his strongest possible lineup in the previous match against Mallorca.
When asked by reporters if any players lacked fighting spirit on the field, Arbeloa categorically denied it. He proudly stated that Real Madrid boasts numerous world-class players whose talent is beyond question.
But Arbeloa also sounded the alarm: "Having a good attitude, commitment, and hard work are all very important; talent alone is far from enough. Talent may sometimes work, but if we want to maintain consistent performance, we need more than just talent."
After a disappointing performance where they dominated the game but failed to win, Arbeloa revealed that the whole team is eager to play. He said, "I believe they are the first to want to play tomorrow, even more so than I am."
“They are very eager to win. When you experience a game you didn’t win, you want to be back on the pitch the next day. I’ve spoken with them, and they are ready and excited for the upcoming game, wanting to give a great performance for the fans and for themselves.”
