Jean-Claire Todibo: We are in a very good overall state right now, and everyone is working together, which has a positive impact on everyone.

Jean-Claire Todibo stated that West Ham United are determined to ensure the team remains in the Premier League to protect the interests of everyone involved at the club. With only seven games remaining in the 2025/26 season, they understand that every victory is crucial for survival. Their first key match will be this Saturday at home against Wolves.

In Jean-Claire Todibo's last five Premier League starts, West Ham United have suffered only one defeat, a dramatic away loss to Chelsea. The French defender has delivered solid performances in the team's wins against Tottenham Hotspur, Sunderland, and Fulham, as well as a draw against Manchester City.

Next, West Ham United will face Wolverhampton Wanderers at the London Stadium. The team has gone more than three months without a defeat in the Premier League. Jean-Clair Todibo stated that he and his teammates will give their all for themselves, the coaching staff, the 60,000 fans in the stadium, and the global supporters of the Blaugrana.

Jean-Claire Todibo said: "We are a very good team, united and supportive of each other, so the overall situation is very good right now. We are fighting side by side, which is positive for everyone. It will feel great when we accomplish this difficult task. I think everyone feels the pressure, so it is very important for us to successfully avoid relegation."

“This isn’t just about us players, it’s about the club staff, the players’ support team, the media, and the fans. If the club is relegated, some people might lose their jobs. So we’re trying to protect everyone’s position because they are very important to the club and to us. They’ve been taking care of us, and our mission is to repay them for the support and care they give us every day.”

Jean-Claire Todibo is known for his passionate yet composed personality. He was suspended after being sent off late in the match against Chelsea, losing his starting position to French international Axel Disasi. Disasi had previously performed admirably in the team's three consecutive victories. Despite the rivalry between the two, Todibo stated that the team's unity and the mutual respect between his two compatriots meant that regardless of who played, everyone was working towards the same goal.

He continued, "We speak the same language, and he's only a year older than me, so we have a good understanding. He used to play for Monaco, while I played for Nice. We were rivals in the past, and later we were both selected for the French national team, so we know each other very well and it's easy for us to get along."

“Axel Disasi is a very easy-going person, so he easily integrated into the team and became an important member of the team. He is also a very good player, so it was not difficult for him to adapt. I have always had a good relationship with Dinos and Max. Now I feel that the atmosphere in the team has changed. We understand each other better, so we get along better in the team.”

That suspension was a challenging experience for the 26-year-old, as was his recent calf injury. However, he has now returned to full training and is eager to contribute to West Ham United's fight against relegation.

Jean-Claire Todibo added: "I feel pretty good and have been training hard since my injury. I hope to be able to play in Saturday's game, so let's wait and see. Unfortunately, I received a red card in the game against Chelsea, which disrupted my rhythm. I missed three games because of that, and when I returned, the team was in great form, so I had to sit on the bench for now."

“I feel great and have been training hard. When the coach puts me on the field, I will do my best, that’s all. This is my first injury of the season, and I’m sorry to say that now is not the time for injury or a red card. I think we really need every player in the team to handle these games.”
