Marc Cucurella believes the team is playing well but still needs to work hard to improve

Marc Cucurella, who currently plays for Chelsea, believes the team performed well against Aston Villa, but he knows it is not enough and the team needs to unite and continue to work hard to make greater progress.  

Chelsea got off to a great start and took the lead early on when Pedro Neto's brilliant pass down the right wing allowed Enzo Fernandez to open the scoring. However, as the game progressed, the home team gradually gained the upper hand and despite several crucial stops from Marc Cucurella, they were equalised and scored the winning goal in the final moments, preventing Chelsea from sharing the points with their opponents.  

Marc Cucurella said: "I thought we played well, especially in the first half. We lost some control in the second half, but we need to play more calmly in some moments."  

"Although we played well, it is far from enough and we need to continue to make progress. Maybe we are not in the best condition now, but we have another game in two days and then we have two home games, so we can't make any more mistakes."  

"I think overall we don't concede too many chances, but when we do it's difficult. But that's part of the game, we need to find the openings, convert more chances into goals and not give the opponent any chances. We need to control the game more and stay calm when we have the chances."  

"So I think we can improve a lot of things and we need to work hard. We trained well last week, but it's not enough. We need to feel the pain after this defeat. If we stick together in this difficult moment, then we can come back in the next game."  

Marc Cucurella knows that this is not an easy task, because as the Premier League draws to a close, the pressure on them and their opponents will only increase. Marc Cucurella said: "Now we have 12 games left, so every game is important to us."  

"Every team we play against is playing for the same goal, either to win the Champions League or to avoid relegation. Therefore, every game will be a difficult one."
