◤Serie A◢ Eldor Shomurodov scores and assists as Roma thrashed Monza 4-0..

Roma comprehensively thrashed Monza 4-0 on matchday 26 of the 2024/25 Serie A season at the Stadio Olimpico on Monday.

In the first half, Saelemaekers scored with a long shot and Shomurodov scored with a header. In the second half, Angeliño volleyed into the net and Cristante scored with a header. In the end, Roma convincingly defeated Monza 4-0. After this round of games, I Giallorossi are temporarily 9th on the table with 40 points; Monza continues to be at the bottom with 14 points.

First Half

In the 5th minute, Matías Soulé passes horizontally from the left side of the box. Upon receiving the pass, Niccolò Pisilli volleyed with his right foot from the center of the box, but his shot went wide of the right side of the post.

5 minutes later, Eldor Shomurodov passes horizontally from the right wing. Alexis Saelemaekers quickly followed up and got the ball, dribbled, cuts inside and took a few steps before taking a long shot with his left foot from outside the penalty area. His shot flew straight into the bottom left corner of the net. Roma broke the deadlock early to take a 1-0 lead!

In the 32nd minute, Soulé crossed from the edge of the byline on the right side of the box. Eldor Shomurodov rose high in the box and scored with a header. Roma expanded its lead to 2-0!

10 minutes later, Alessandro Bianco made a through pass from the front. After successfully beating the offside trap, quickly followed up and got the ball, Silvere Ganvoula took a few steps before volleying with his right foot from the right side of the box against the outrushing Mile Svilar, but his shot was saved by the latter and went out for a corner.

Second half

Both teams switched sides as the match continued. In the 60th minute, Pisilli passes horizontally from the front. His shot flew straight into the bottom right corner of the net, making Turati failed to save it. Roma expanded its lead again to 3-0!

In the 88th minute, Roma got a corner kick opportunity. Paulo Dybala took the corner by crossing it into the box and Bryan Cristante scored with a header. Roma secured the victory at 4-0!

When the final whistle is blown, Roma easily defeated Monza by 4-0.
