Blizzard Entertainment announced on its official website on Saturday that the company will make big changes to the Clash mode of its famous e-sports game Overwatch 2.
According to Blizzard Entertainment's official statement, after listening to players' complaints, in order to give everyone the best gaming experience, the company decided to temporarily take the Clash mode offline after the end of the 15th season of Competitive Play mode so that it can be properly adjusted.
As part of this adjustment, the two maps of Hanaoka and Throne of Anubis will be removed and replaced by new maps to improve the problem that players often have matches ended in one-sided situations in the mode.
Although the Clash mode will be offline, Blizzard said that this does not mean that the mode will never return. After the adjustment is completed and the time is right, this mode is expected to be launched again as another competitive game mode in Overwatch 2.
Although the removal of the Clash mode will inevitably disappoint players, Blizzard still hopes that players can look forward to the new Stadium mode that will be launched in Season 16, and promises to listen to players' opinions at any time to provide the best gaming experience for the Stadium mode.
The Clash mode is a mode launched by Blizzard during Season 12. In this mode, the two teams form by the players must engage in a very fast-paced battle and complete 5 different tasks during the duel. The team that completes the task the fastest and accumulates 5 points will be considered the winner. However, this mode has also been complained by many players that match situations always end up being one-sided.
