Arabic online media outlet WinWin's resident renowned Egyptian Liverpool team correspondent Ismail Mahmoud, exclusively denied rumours claiming that the club's two midfield stars, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai are on the verge of joining Real Madrid this summer on Sunday.
According to Mahmoud's report, he recently flew to Liverpool for a Ramadan special, interviewing the club's Muslim striker Hugo Ekitike. During the trip, he also took the time to speak with Mac Allister's father and Szoboszlai's agent about the transfer rumours linking the two players with Real Madrid.
Both Mac Allister's father and Szoboszlai's agent quickly and unanimously denied the rumours, saying that both players are currently in talks with Liverpool regarding contract extensions, have never been approached by any other club, and remain fully focused on helping the Reds finish the season in the best possible way.
Alexis Mac Allister's father added that whether his son can renew his contract soon depends on the progress of negotiations with Liverpool, but he firmly believes that an agreement will eventually be reached.
As for whether Mac Allister will want to join Real Madrid in the future, that's left to fate.
Upon verification, that the rumours which claimed that McAllister and Dominik Szoboszlai are on the verge of joining Real Madrid this summer originated from an article posted by n the club's mouthpiece, Spanish media outlet MARCA, on February 12, 2026!
MARCA falsely claimed in the article that Szoboszlai "has told his Hungary national team head coach, Marco Rossi, that his dream transfer is to join Real Madrid."
Shortly after, another reporter from the same media outlet posted a false claim on his personal social media account, claiming that "Liverpool have signaled their willingness to sell Mac Allister this summer, and the La Liga giants have reached an agreement with the Reds on the transfer of the 2022 Qatar World Cup winner."
Despite knowing the dubious origin of this news, many ill-intentioned individuals seized the opportunity to amplify and spread this rumour. Nearly a hundred videos and articles on YouTube, Instagram, X (Twitter) and Weibo have already already been made which exaggerated the fake rumours linking these two midfielders to Real Madrid!
It's worth mentioning that this is already the second consecutive week that Mac Allister has been falsely claimed to be leaving the defending Premier League champions this summer.
Not long ago, the British tabloid Mirror was also criticized by Sky Sports' renowned Italian transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, for fabricating the absurd rumour which claimed that Mac Allister "might transfer to arch-rivals Manchester United this summer."
