"League of Legends" officially announced that it will continue to use the "Fearless Draft" mode starting from this summer season.
The Fearless Draft mode is an innovation of the traditional pick and ban system, requiring teams to constantly adapt and adjust during the series. The mode stipulates that the selected heroes cannot be reused in subsequent games, forcing teams to expand their hero pools, explore new tactics, and try unexpected choices.
The mode has been successfully piloted in the 2025 Spring Split and First Stand 2025, and has received widespread acclaim. Based on the positive feedback from teams and fans in various regions, League of Legends has decided to apply the Fearless Draft mode to the year-round schedule starting from the Summer Split.
According to a previous report by foreign media Sheep Esports, the Fearless Draft mode will cover LEC, LCK, LPL, LTA, LCP regions, as well as MSI and the S15 World Finals. League of Legends added that MSI will still use the original competition system, the S15 World Finals will introduce the Fearless Draft mode in the BO3 and BO5 stages, and the Swiss round will still use the BO1 system.
The official statement concluded: "As the Fearless Draft mode progresses, we expect teams to continue to adapt, innovate, and push the level of competition. Increased hero diversity, more uncertainty in the game, and evolving tactics will bring a more exciting viewing experience. We are confident in this direction and will continue to work closely with professional teams to collect data to optimize the competition system. Please look forward to the upcoming fierce showdown!"
