CS2: Valve removed controversial map Transit due to its multiple offensive content..

Foreign media outlet Dust 2 reported on Wednesday that Valve has urgently removed the Counter Strike 2 map Transit, which has been controversial for multiple offensive content.

According to the report, Valve did not explicitly explain the reason for Transit's sudden removal, but it is widely believed to be closely related to the map's file name containing the N-word, a racist slur for Black people.

Furthermore, players discovered an advertisement for a Bitcoin project called FPI Bank within the map. The advertisement even boasted, "We are proud to be the only Bitcoin project to enter the globally popularity esports game", raising serious concerns about Bitcoin's malicious infiltration into the esports world and its influence on young people's thinking and values.

Furthermore, players discovered that the map contained an Easter egg referring to Stray, an adventure game developed by the French independent game development team BlueTwelve Studios.

However, since BlueTwelve never announced a Stray collaboration with Counter Strike 2, this led to speculation that Valve's removal of Transit was intended to avoid potential copyright infringement lawsuits.

Valve has yet to confirm whether Transit will be re-released after making changes.

In fact, many players noticed that Valve had quietly and urgently removed the map on August 4th, two days after its release, but confirmation wasn't received until several days later.

Due to intense online public opinion, Transit map designer Rikuda later admitted the mistake in an interview, apologized to players, and admitted to making a very stupid mistake.

Rikuda stated that he was initially unaware that Transit had offended many people until someone uploaded screenshots of the offensive content to Reddit.

He added that while many might find it crazy and irrational to have spent so much time designing a map and then have it urgently removed so soon after Valve released it, he believes that many people have undoubtedly been offended by its content since its release, so it's a good thing that Transit was removed before the controversy snowballed.

However, Rikuda hopes that others who worked on Transit's design will not be punished for his mistakes, and that Valve can show respect by notifying the creators before removing maps next time.

Transit is one of the new community maps added to Counter Strike 2 in Valve's October 1st update, designed specifically for the Wingman mode.

Set in the streets of Vietnam, the map allows players to reposition themselves using trains traveling across the map, catching opponents off guard.

Other new maps in the series include Rooftop, Palacio, and Golden.
