JeSU official: The 20th Asian Games e-sports events are officially confirmed, DOTA 2 is not selected


On July 23rd local time, the Japan Esports Federation (JeSU) announced the list of esports events for the 2026 Asian Games.


The 20th Asian Games will be held in Nagoya, Japan from September 19 to October 4, 2026. According to the official announcement, this Asian Games will still list e-sports as an official event and further expand the number of events.


In terms of project settings, the fighting events are confirmed to be presented in the form of team competitions, including three classic fighting games: Street Fighter 6, TEKKEN™ 8, and THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV. Four games have been selected for the MOBA event, namely League of Legends, Honor of Kings, Pokémon UNITE, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.


It is worth mentioning that DOTA 2, a representative work of MOBA games, failed to be selected for this Asian Games.


The specific project list is as follows:

  • Competitive Fighting (Team): Street Fighter 6, TEKKEN™ 8, THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV

  • MOBA: League of Legends, Honor of Kings, Pokémon UNITE, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang

  • Battle Royale: PUBG Mobile - Asian Games Version

  • 1 vs 4 asymmetric confrontation: Identity V - Asian Games Version

  • Action-adventure: Naraka: Bladepoint

  • Competitive Sports: Gran Turismo 7, eFootball™

  • Puzzle: Puyo Puyo Champions
