Counter Strike 2: Interim coach imd promoted as GamerLegion (GL) head coach..

German Counter Strike 2 powerhouse GamerLegion (GL) announced on Monday via their official X (Twitter) account that interim coach imd has been officially promoted to the role of head coach.

According to GamerLegion (GL)'s official statement, imd will replace ashhh as the team's new head coach.

Furthermore, former Honoris and 500 coach Grashog will join GL as imd's assistant coach.

ashhh recently announced his departure from GL after five years to seek new opportunities.

It's worth mentioning that imd had already participated in two tournaments with the team: Fragdelphia Miami and the BLAST Bounty Winter, achieving a third-place finish and a top-eight finish respectively.

GL will face Aurora at the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Krakow on Wednesday (January 28th), where imd and ashhh will make their coaching debut together.

About imd

Imd, 29 years old, was born on September 5, 1996, in Poland. He became a professional Counter-Strike esports player in 2014 but retired the following year, transitioning to coaching in 2017.

Imd has coached teams such as X-kom, Illuminar (IG), Anonymo, and Pompa Team, winning several Polish B-level tournaments with them.

In March 2024, imd joined GL as an assistant coach, later serving as an interim coach in December of the following year.

In the past few weeks, he participated with the team in the BLAST Bounty Winter Tournament, but was eliminated in the quarterfinals after losing to Vitality.
