Torino announced on their official website on Monday that Benfica's Spanish U21s international left-back Rafael Obrador has joined the club on-loan.

According to the Serie A club's official statement, Obrador will play for the club on-loan until the end of the season, with a non-mandatory buy-out clause included in the loan agreement. He will also wear the number 33 jersey.

Furthermore, according to Sky Sports' renowned Italian transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, although Torino has a buy-out clause for Obrador, his former club Real Madrid has retained a buy-back clause.

About Rafael Obrador

The 21-year-old Rafael Obrador was born on February 24, 2004, in Campos, Spain. He is 1.80 meters tall and primarily plays as a left-back, but can also play as a left midfielder.

Obrador joined the youth academy of his hometown club Campos at the age of four, and then joined Mallorca's youth academy, before completing his Mallorca first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in July 2020.

Three months later, Obrador moved to Real Madrid. During his two-year spell with Los Blancos, Obrador only played for their B team.

In August 2024, Obrador was loaned-out to Deportivo La Coruña.

In July 2025, Obrador joined Benfica for €4 million.

During the first half of the season, Obrador made only three appearances for the Portuguese Primeira Liga giants in all competitions, providing one assist.
