League of Legends: Bilibili Esports (BLG) promoted its academy team top laner Wenbo to replace Bin..

Chinese League of Legends powerhouse Bilibili Esports (BLG) announced on Thursday via its Weibo account that it has promoted its academy team top laner, Yang Wenbo (ID: Wenbo), to the main team to replace Chen Zebin (ID: Bin), who previously held that position.

BLG did not specify in its official statement for how long Wenbo would replace Zebin, but it is believed he will remain as his stand-in indefinitely and participate in the entire LPL season with the team.

It was reported that Zebin left the team in anger after a heated argument with the team manager.

On Monday (January 26), prominent Chinese esports insider 召唤师Park suddenly posted several screenshots alleging that Zebin had a heated argument with the team manager due to some unknown reasons and then "packed his bag and stormed off."

The Internet Celebrity added that although BLG sent people to humbly try to bring Zebin back, but still failed, and even claimed that the player had already decided to leave the team regardless even before this incident.

This news immediately caused a huge stir in the Chinese League of Legends esports community.

It also sparked deep curiosity among fans about Zebin's future uncertainty.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, Wenbo is expected to make his main team debut this Friday (January 30th) in the LPL Split 1 Regular Season match against Top Esports (TES).

About Yang Wenbo

Yang Wenbo (ID: Wenbo), who joined BLG.Junior in May 2025, is still a very young top laner.

During his time, he participated in the LDL Split 1 and 2, with his team finishing as runners-up both times. In Split 1, he finished second only to TES Challengers, while in Split 2, he finished behind Oh My God.

Additionally, he participated in the second stage of the 2025 Asia Masters Swiss Round, but his team failed to advance, finishing with a 2-4 record.

Internationally, Wenbo also represented China in one match of the 2025 Asia Esports Championship. The remaining matches of the tournament were all played by TT Esports' top laner, Li Qinghua (ID: Keshi).

About Chen Zebin

The 22-year-old Chen Zebin (ID: Bin) is one of the most legendary players in the league. He began his professional career in 2019 with Suning-S in the LDL and was promoted to the LPL in 2020. He performed exceptionally well in the Summer Split, successfully qualifying for the World Championship, ultimately losing to DAMWON Gaming.

In 2022, Zebin joined Royal Never Give Up (RNG) and won the Spring Split and Mid-Season Invitational championships with the team, defeating LCK powerhouse T1 3-2 in the finals.

During the Summer Split of the same year, he joined BLG and reached the LPL finals twice, the Mid-Season Invitational finals twice, and the World Championship once, winning three LPL championship trophies.

Zebin has played for BLG for three and a half years, and his 2026 season was expected to have a smoother start, but it is now overshadowed by this incident.
