VP Official Announcement: Perfecto, the in-game leader, has been relegated to the bench.

Russian CS2 team Virtus.pro confirmed on Wednesday that 26-year-old Ilya Zalutsky (ID: Perfecto) has been relegated to the bench.

The statement reads: "After discussions between both parties, we believe that the current roster configuration is insufficient to maintain consistent performance and fully realize its potential. We thank Perfecto for the professionalism and dedication he has demonstrated during his time with VP."

"Our CS2 team will take a break while we search for a new commander and the best lineup to conduct internal testing."

"We welcome the transfer offer for Perfecto. More information will be released later."

Perfecto previously played for several CS:GO teams including Atlants, Syman, NAVI, and C9, winning numerous championships with NAVI, including the 2020 IEM Katowice, 2020 BLAST World Finals, 2021 DreamHack Spring Masters, 2021 IEM Cologne, ESL Pro League Season 14, 2021 PGL Stockholm Major, 2021 BLAST Autumn Finals, 2021 BLAST World Finals, and 2022 BLAST Spring Finals. He joined VP as a rifler in June 2025 and in September of the same year, he replaced Denis Sharipov (ID: electroNic) as a leader.

However, Perfecto's transformation has not yielded the expected results. According to HLTV statistics, Perfecto has played 63 maps and participated in 1370 rounds for VP so far, with an average personal rating of only 0.97. VP's overall performance has also been declining for some time, and they have struggled to secure a single victory since the start of 2026.

Regarding his demotion, Perfecto stated through the X platform: "As you have already seen in the news, I have decided to seek other career development paths, and therefore I have been included in the transfer list."

"I am deeply grateful to the organization for making the appropriate arrangements."

"Thank you VP for giving me the opportunity to play for this legendary team, but unfortunately you can't always achieve the results you want."

“I am now very much looking forward to transitioning into a defensive midfielder or a free-roaming player and will consider all offers.”
