Shanghai esports club Top Esports (TES) announced on Sunday via its official Weibo account that top laner Bai Jiahao (ID: 369) will be temporarily leaving the team.

According to Top Esports (TES)'s official statement, the decision to temporarily leave the team was made by Jiahao himself. He said that his recent performances have been poor, leading to losses, and that he was also involved in some controversies regarding defending his teammates, thus requiring him to temporarily leave the team to adjust his mental state.

During Jiahao's absence, TES.C's top laner Cheng Zihao (ID: ZUIAN) will be promoted to the main team and will compete with the team in the second stage of the LPL.

In fact, rumours of Jiahao's possible temporary departure from the team had been circulating online for several days, and now those rumours have come true.

The past few months have been extremely difficult for TES. Jungler Yang Zijian (ID: naiyou), who also came through TES.C, was banned for life in March for match-fixing.

His position was later taken over by Gao Tianliang (ID: Tian), but the results were unsatisfactory.
