Norwegian Counter Strike 2 (CS2) club Metizport announced on its official website on Tuesday that rifler / sniper Dragon has been benched, effective immediately.
According to Metizport's official statement, Dragon was not benched due to poor performances, but rather because the team is undergoing tactical adjustments and too many players have overlapping positions, necessitating a roster change.
While Metizport hasn't ruled out the possibility of Dragon transferring to another team, the possibility of him remaining with the team remains.
Currently, the club has identified several potential replacements and plans to arrange trials for them. The roster adjustment is expected to be completed in the near future.
Additionally, according to HLTV, Metizport may also recall rifler MaiL09 ahead of schedule.
MaiL09 is currently on-loan at Alliance, with his loan spell originally set to expire on June 29th. However, due to his outstanding performances during his loan spell, Metizport is considering triggering the early recall clause.
This roster change marks Metizport's third roster change recently.
Not long ago, the team signed former Wildcard In-Game Leader stanislaw as a stand-in.
At that time, stanislaw replaced the benched jackinho.
Due to his excellent performance in the Journey Spring in Stockholm, Sweden, stanislaw's ownership has been permanently bought out.
Metizport's current roster is as follows:
In-Game Leader: stanislaw
AWP-er: forsyy
Entry Fragger: Plopski
Support: isak
Head Coach: VinS
In-Game Leader: jackinho (benched)
Rifler / AWP-er: Dragon (benched)
Rifler: MaiL09 (on-loan at Alliance, soon to be recalled)
