After a 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday, Ricardo Pereira knew Leicester City must be more clinical if they hoped to win the game that would secure their place in the Championship. Despite remaining unbeaten over the Easter weekend, they failed to deliver the win they desired in their fight for survival.

After a 2-2 draw against Preston North End, Leicester City secured another point away from home against already relegated opponents. The captain expressed regret over missed opportunities at Hillsborough Stadium, believing these crucial errors were the reason for the defeat.

Ricardo Pereira said: "As with previous matches, we created many chances, but we didn't capitalize on them enough, which directly affected the result and was disappointing. The opposing goalkeeper made several excellent saves, but we also need to perform better, because some chances were very clear. Scoring goals is the key to the game, and a 1-1 score is clearly not enough."

With five games remaining this season, three of them will be played at home, followed by two tough away games against relegation rivals Portsmouth and Blackburn Rovers at the end of the season. The Portuguese defender stated that the team still has a chance to turn things around and urged fans to continue supporting the team.

He continued, "We still have games to play, and we still have time to get on the pitch. We will always maintain our belief; that's the most basic thing we can do. Ensuring the team achieves good results is a source of pride for the club, and we hope to achieve that as well. The substitutes played a crucial role in the game, which is exactly what the team needs. We need everyone to continue to work hard and keep moving forward; every player is vital."
