Virgil van Dijk hopes Liverpool will finish the season with better results.

Liverpool secured a 2-0 victory over Fulham in the 32nd round of the 2025/26 Premier League season, thanks to goals from Ngumoha and Salah. Dutch star Virgil van Dijk stated that continuing on a solid foundation is crucial for the team, and he also expressed his hope that the "Reds" can finish the season with a better ranking or result.

In the 36th minute, Wirtz delivered a diagonal pass, and Ngumoha received the ball and curled a shot past the defender to give Liverpool a 1-0 lead. In the 40th minute, Ngumoha passed the ball to Gakpo, who controlled it and crossed it from the edge of the box. Salah then fired a shot into the net, extending Liverpool's lead over Fulham to 2-0.

Liverpool ultimately defeated Fulham 2-0 at Anfield. With these three points, Liverpool sits in 5th place in the standings with 52 points. Notably, Liverpool will host Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final match. However, in the first leg, Liverpool suffered a 0-2 defeat at the Parc des Princes.
