Peperou: In the upcoming matches, we must show our desire to win from the very beginning.

Valencia CF player Peperou gave an interview and shared his thoughts after the 1-1 draw against Real Mallorca in the 33rd round of La Liga.  

In the interview, Peperou said: "Considering our recent performance and Real Mallorca's form at the time, this point was something we had to take seriously. Of course, we wanted to win, and that's our duty."  

“But since we can’t win, we must cherish this point, because matches at Mestalla are always very difficult. Next time we return to Mestalla, we need to make this point even more valuable.”  

Speaking about the goal conceded and the team's reaction, Peperou said: "We conceded another goal while defending a set piece, which is something we must avoid. The team's subsequent reaction was positive, which reflects our fighting spirit and desire to win. Some details in a game often determine the outcome, and we must be more focused. We need to maintain our ambition and strive for victory; this should be the team's fundamental attitude."  

When discussing the potential controversy surrounding the referee's decision against Gaya, Peperu said, "I was quite far away at the time and couldn't see it very clearly. However, according to my teammates on the bench, Gaya was stepped on by an opponent when he crossed into the penalty area. As I said before, it's difficult to determine whether it was a minor contact or a serious foul in such situations. It was a crucial action, but the final decision was indeed controversial."  

"For me, the team is always the most important thing. Whatever role the team needs me to play, I will give it my all. The coach also knows that I will give my all whenever he needs me, whether I play or not, I will give everything for this team. Today's game was difficult because I am not used to playing center back, and I also had to face an opponent like Muriqui, but I showed my fighting spirit and determination to help the team."  

Finally, Peperou spoke about the upcoming match against Girona, saying, "We must show our determination to win from the very first minute and hopefully bring the fans the joy they deserve. We've put them through a lot of tough times before, and now we're eager to give it our all and fight for victory."
