The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) issued a statement on Saturday, officially announcing the 11 esports events that will be held at the 2026 Aichi Nagoya Asian Games.
Compared with the list previously announced by the Japanese Olympic Committee (JOC), the official OCA list has made some adjustments in e-sports events: they replaced "Dream Three Kingdoms" with "Fifth Personality". This list was unanimously approved by the emergency executive committee meeting, so it is more authoritative. The specific e-sports events are as follows:
1. Competitive fighting (team competition), only one medal
i) Street Fighter Series
ii) Tekken Series
iii) King of Fighter Series
2. Pokemon Unite
3. Honor of Kings
4. League of Legends
5. PUBG Mobile - Asian Games Version
6. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang
7. Identity V: Asian Games Version
8. Naraka: Bladepoint
9. Gran Turismo 7
10. Efootball Series
11. Puyo Puyo Champions
The 20th Asian Games will be held from September 19 to October 4, 2026. The e-sports events of this Asian Games are determined by a special selection committee, and three experts are responsible for selecting games covering multiple categories. Compared with the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games, this Asian Games no longer includes "EA Sports FC", "Dota 2" and "Arena of Valor", but has added "Pro Evolution Soccer", "Naraka: Bladepoint", "Honor of Kings", "Mobile Legends" and "Pubo Magic Champions".
