Roman Essai is very pleased with Crystal Palace's victory

Roman Essai made his third competitive appearance for Crystal Palace against Millwall, a game that held extra personal significance for him as he faced the club for whom he made his professional debut.  

In January of this year, Roman Essé moved to Crystal Palace. The player came on as a substitute in the last 25 minutes of Crystal Palace's game against Millwall, helping the club to beat the opponent with a score of 3-1.  

Roman Esse said: "Today's victory means a lot to us, the players, the staff and the coach. We have made it to the next round and the quarter-finals, which is something to be proud of."  

"For me it was good to come to my hometown and play against my old club, where I basically grew up and started playing football. But when it comes to the game, only one team can win. I'm happy that we won the game and we're through to the next round."  

"I know I'm in a growth phase, I'm still learning and hopefully getting better game by game. Every time I take to the field I want to show the fans more and I know it will come. So I have to be patient and give my all in every game."  

"So far, I'm enjoying my time at Crystal Palace, so I have to keep working hard," he said. "It's a different environment, the best league in the world, with the best players in the world. I always want to start, but sometimes you have to watch and take little tips from every player's game and apply them to your game."  

"Although I was warmly welcomed by Crystal Palace and Millwall fans when I entered the stadium, I was also slightly booed by some away fans. However, I was not bothered by it because I know what kind of people the fans are."
