Arteta says team still has everything it needs to win title

Mikel Arteta believes Arsenal have what it takes to win the Champions League this season when they face PSV Eindhoven in the first leg of their last-16 tie.
The Gunners were tied 0-0 by Nottingham Forest in a crucial Premier League match last week, losing two points. At the same time, Liverpool beat Newcastle 2-0, causing Arsenal to fall further behind in the championship race, currently 13 points behind the Reds.
With hopes of winning the Premier League fading, Arteta has set his sights on the Champions League and insists the team has the resources to compete for the title. Arsenal performed solidly in the group stage, advancing to the round of 16 in third place and conceding only three goals in eight games - the second-lowest number of goals conceded in Europe, second only to Inter Milan.
In the pre-match press conference, the Spanish coach said: "We can't change the past, but we must learn from it and take it into the next game. This season's Champions League journey has taught us a lot, especially in terms of home and away performances."
“Last year, our away record in Europe was not good, but this year it’s different, we are more consistent. We are scoring a lot of goals and conceding very few goals - we have conceded only three goals so far and have the lowest expected goals conceded (xG) in the Champions League, which is a big advantage.”
Arteta added: "We have the resources and the team has shown its ability. Next, we have to maintain it. Looking at those successful teams, a solid defense is crucial. In addition, we showed a strong offensive ability in the Champions League. The team is different now, but it still has everything it needs to win the championship."
Arteta's side travel to the Netherlands on Tuesday for a Champions League last-16 first-leg clash with PSV Eindhoven before facing old rivals Manchester United in the Premier League next Sunday.
