Sky Sports' renowned Italian transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, confirmed on Wednesday through his official column that Liverpool is interested in signing Bournemouth and Ajax left-wingback wonderkids Milos Kerkez and Jorrel Hato.

Romano said in his column that in order to find a potential backup and future successor for the team's main left-wing backs Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas, Liverpool has decided to include Kerkez and Hato in the club's list of potential signings in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Realizing that Kerkez and Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim have the same agent, and that the Red Devils are also interested in competing for the Bournemouth wonderkid's signature, the Reds will not focus on putting all their targets on Kerkez.

In order to prevent the club from the situation where after failing to pursue Martin Zubimendi during the summer transfer window this season and not having enough time to find another target candidate for their main defensive midfielders Ryan Gravenberch and Wataru Endo from happening again, Liverpool has drawn up a backup plan.

The backup plan is to sign Ajax wonderkid Jorrel Hato.

About Milos Kerkez

Milos Kerkez, who is only 21 years old, was born on November 7, 2003 in Vrbas, Serbia. He is 1.8 meters tall and primarily plays as a left wingback. He can also play as a left midfielder. He has dual citizenship of Serbia and Hungary.

Kerkez joined the youth academy of his hometown club Vrbas since he was a child. In 2014, he joined the Rapid Vienna youth academy. In 2019, moved to the Gyor youth academy and completed his Gyor first-team debut in August 2020. He was only 16 years old at the time.

When he was young, Hato played for Sparta Rotterdam's youth academy. In 2018, he moved to Ajax's youth academy. In November 2022, he began to play for Ajax's U23s team and completed his Ajax first-team debut in a KNVB Cup match in January of the following year.
