Riot Games officially announced that the competition will be held at the LCK Arena (LoL Park) from March 10 to March 16. This new event brings together the regional opening championship champions from the five major regions, marking the first international competition under the new league system in the 2024 season.
Hanwha Life Esports represented the LCK region and won the LCK Cup final on February 23 by beating Gen.G 3-2. In the previous playoffs, Hanwha Life also defeated T1 and Dplus KIA, showing strong competitiveness.
The other four participating teams are:
TOP Esports (TES) — China LPL Champions

Team Liquid (TL) — North American, Latin American and Brazilian LTA Champions
CTBC Flying Oyster (CFO)——Asia Pacific LCP Champion
The total prize money of First Stand is as high as 1 million US dollars (about 1.45 billion won), of which the champion team can enjoy 300,000 US dollars (about 436 million won). In addition, the winning region will directly advance to the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) in July without participating in the qualifying round.
