Taylor Harwood-Bellis disappointed with team's defeat

Taylor Harwood-Bellis says Southampton's game against Brentford was a frustrating one as a second-half collapse saw Brentford secure their first away win in the Premier League this season.

In this game, Kevin Shad scored a goal in the 6th minute of the first half, which gradually separated the two sides in the first half. Brian Mbemo scored twice in the second half, making the outcome of the game no longer suspenseful.

Taylor Harwood-Bellis said: "I didn't expect this result. We are out. I am really frustrated about this result. This is not a good thing."

"I felt like we weren't aggressive enough, we didn't play with the intensity we had in the last three games. When we play with intensity and aggressively we are always in the game, but this game was far from that level."

With the league on hold for two weeks to allow for an Emirates FA Cup third-round tie against Swansea City next weekend, Taylor Harwood-Bellis is confident manager Ivan Juric can rectify the situation in training.

Taylor Harwood-Bellis also said: "Training has always been competitive. We run in training and we are aggressive. We will rush up to chase our opponents and keep up with them. However, that didn't happen in this game."

"Like I said, the manager will push us. We have to go out there and if we need to be fitter then we need to be fitter and be able to keep up with our movement and we will and the manager will do that. Ivan Juric has always been about intensity, pressing, positivity and good possession. So I'm pretty sure he will work on that in training."
