John McGinn said that the players have worked hard and every player deserves this joy.

John McGinn, who currently plays for Aston Villa, believes that everyone in the team deserves this victory and everyone should enjoy the joy of advancing to the quarter-finals. Aston Villa defeated Club Brugge 3-0 with Marco Asensio scoring twice to help the team win.  

Aston Villa are through to the quarter-finals of Europe's top club competition for the first time since 1983 and will face Paris Saint-Germain next, while Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan, Barcelona, Arsenal, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are also in the quarter-finals.  

After the game, John McGinn was interviewed and said: "I think we were under a lot of pressure in this game. Despite this, Brugge is a great team. We respect them and know they are very competitive."  

“It is undeniable that we were the worse team in the first half, but the most important thing is to keep a clean sheet and not give the opponent any chance to score first. This game was a rare opportunity for us, so it was a wonderful game.”
