Graham Potter admitted there were areas for improvement but was pleased with his players' performance

West Ham United manager Graham Potter said that the players are working hard every day to improve their level. At present, they are preparing for the match against Everton. West Ham United lost to Newcastle United 0-1 in the last game, ending their winning streak. Now, the team vows to work hard to return to the winning road.

Although the result was disappointing, Graham Potter believes his defence has made great progress under his management. Graham Potter praised the team for adopting his ideas while also adapting to the injury problems on the pitch.

Graham Potter said: "Over the past year, the team has conceded a lot of goals in the Premier League. I think we have managed to change that a little bit, which is an important foundation because we need stability at the back."

"In the Premier League we can't think that just scoring two goals is enough. We can talk about attacking football. But if the team is not stable defensively, it will be difficult."

"It is undeniable that we have always wanted to make progress, and we do have areas that need improvement. In the past three games, we have only gained 6 points and conceded only one goal. In summary, I am very satisfied with the performance of the players."

"We played against Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea and Newcastle United and we performed well in every one of those games.

Graham Potter also said: "Evan Ferguson is improving every day. When he first came, he was in the position we expected. Evan Ferguson had been absent due to injury before, but he still made a great contribution to the team."

"Evan Ferguson had a great performance against Brentford and he's been working hard to improve his level. So we are very happy with Evan Ferguson."
