Spirit official: magixx was demoted to the bench and his position was replaced by zweih

CS2 professional team Spirit officially announced on Monday that Russian rifleman Boris Vorobyev (ID: magixx) will be relegated to the bench. The details are as follows:

"While Boris Vorobiev (ID:magixx) is still a member of our CS roster, he has officially been made inactive starting today."

“We are deeply grateful to Boris for his six years at Spirit. He served with us at many critical stages of roster construction and was instrumental in shaping our unique philosophy. Boris joined us in 2019 as a talented but inexperienced player. He continued to grow and improve as a person and as a professional esports player in the years that followed, ultimately helping Spirit achieve the most important victories in various CS events.”

"We will never forget the tremendous contribution that magixx has made to Spirit's milestone achievements," Spirit concluded. "We wish Boris all the best in his future esports career. We will continue to follow his next exciting achievements and celebrate his every victory."

The 22-year-old magixx has been playing for Spirit since September 2019. So far, he has played 1,050 maps, participated in 26,379 rounds, and obtained 16,769 kills, with a headshot rate of 55.2% and an average personal rating of 1.06. During this period, he also won the 2023 BB Villa Cup Dubai Championship, the 2024 IEM Katovitz Championship, the 2024 BLAST Spring Finals Championship, the 2024 BB Villa Cup Belgrade Championship, the 2024 Shanghai Major Championship, the 2025 BLAST Spring Bounty Championship and the 2025 PGL Astana Championship.

However, Magixx was criticized for his fluctuating performance in the later period of his time with Spirit. Therefore, Spirit set its sights on Ivan Gokin (ID: zweih) and announced the recruitment of the latter while delegating Magixx.

Zweih is only 17 years old and has played for Vaseline Worms, POLET and Nemiga in his career. He is regarded as the best of the new generation of Russian CS2 players. So far, he has played in 90 maps, participated in 6339 rounds, obtained 4573 kills, headshot rate of 54.4%, and his average personal rating is 1.10.

With the addition of Zweih, Spirit's current lineup is as follows:

Commander/Rifleman: Leonid Vishnyakov (ID: chopper)

Sniper: Dmitry Sokolov (ID: sh1ro)

Rifleman: Miroslav Prahodja (ID: zont1x)

Rifleman: Daniel Kreshković (ID: donk)

Rifleman: Ivan Gogin (ID: zweih)

Coach: Sergey Shavayev (ID: hally)

Substitute: Boris Vorobyev (ID: magixx)
