Harry Armas made his debut for Manchester United and Ruben Amorim praised his performance

Manchester United defender Harry Armas made his debut for the club in the match against Leicester City, which Manchester United won 3-0.  

Harry Armas joined the club from Watford Academy in June 2023 and mainly plays for Manchester United's Under-18 team. The player played in all three games of the 2024 Tour's American leg. Harry Armas has been a regular in the Academy team this season and Adam Lawrence, the head coach of the Under-18 team, spoke highly of Harry Armas.  

Harry Armas replaced Alejandro Ganacho in this game and was deployed by coach Ruben Amorim at left wing back. Harry Armas performed very well and ensured the team kept a clean sheet. With Aiden Haven seemingly being added to the team's growing injury list, Harry Armas may get more opportunities.  

After the game, Harry Armas said: "This has been an incredible experience and I am very proud of myself and I think my family is as well. I am very grateful for this opportunity and hopefully there will be more opportunities in the future."  

"It all happened on the right day, my 18th birthday, so it was a good thing. I was excited when I found out the news, I was warming up. I'm glad it's all come true."  

Coach Ruben Amorim said: "It happened to be Harry Armas' birthday so he had a very special day. I am very happy to let the young boys play and win, it is the best feeling."
