According to ESPN's Shams Charania on Saturday, the Golden State Warriors have signed Kevin Knox until the end of the season. Knox had previously signed two 10-day short-term contracts with the Warriors and regained his free agency on March 10.
Kevin Knox, 25, mainly plays on the wing and was selected by the New York Knicks with the ninth pick in the first round in 2018. So far, he has played 313 regular season games for the New York Knicks, Detroit Pistons, Portland Trail Blazers and Golden State Warriors, averaging 7.4 points, 2.8 rebounds and 0.7 assists per game, with a shooting percentage of 39.2% and a three-point shooting percentage of 34%.
Knox played mainly for the Warriors' affiliate Santa Cruz Warriors this season, playing in 28 G League games, averaging 21.8 points, 8 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game, shooting 49.5% from the field and 38.9% from three-point range. He was recalled by the Warriors in late February and played seven regular season games as a substitute. He successfully stayed with the team for the playoffs with an average of 4.0 points, 1.6 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game.
