Rasmus Heilung caused a lot of discussion when he imitated Cristiano Ronaldo's iconic "Siuu" move during the game. However, the legendary former Manchester United player did not have much reaction to it.
Rasmus Heijlong made the "Siuu" celebration after coming off the bench to score the winning goal for Denmark in the 78th minute of the UEFA Nations League quarter-final first leg.
Cristiano Ronaldo responded by saying he did not think it was disrespectful for the striker to copy his signature move. "For me it's not a big problem, I know it's not disrespectful," he said.
"Not only him, but many athletes around the world celebrated me. So it's actually an honor for me."
Rasmus Heilon said after the game: "This is a move for my idol. I don't want to laugh at him or anything, but because he has a great influence on me and my football career."
"It may be a bit contradictory, but it meant a lot to me to score against him and Portugal. I remember going to watch the game in 2011 and he scored from a free kick. From then on, Cristiano Ronaldo became my idol."
