Bremer regrets Thiago Motta's sacking by Juventus

Thiago Motta was fired by Serie A giants Juventus earlier and missed the chance to continue leading the "Old Lady" to the Champions League qualification. Juventus defender Bremer said he regretted Thiago Motta's dismissal and said Thiago Motta was a very good coach.

Thiago Motta, 42, became the head coach of Juventus in June last year, but failed to lead the team to breakthrough results in Serie A and the Champions League this season and was eventually fired earlier.

With the departure of Thiago Motta, Igor Tudor from Croatia took over as head coach.

Juventus currently ranks fifth in the Serie A standings with 52 points. They have achieved 3 wins and 2 draws in the past 5 rounds. They still have to face strong competition from other teams in their fight for the Champions League qualification.

Juventus defender Bremer said in an interview, "I feel sorry for Thiago Motta. He is a good coach for me. He could have achieved great success, but unfortunately, things developed in this direction. It's so sad."

In addition, the 28-year-old Bremer suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in October last year, so it will take some time for him to fully recover.

Bremer said: "I spoke to Tudor and was happy with his conversation. He also asked me how my recovery was going, and I responded that it was too early, but I would be here to cheer for the team and hope to celebrate with them the Champions League qualification. It was not a very positive season, we had a lot of injury problems, including me and Juan Cabal. These few months have been difficult, but I am recovering well now."

"I'm not frustrated, but it will take some time to fully recover. I'd love to play right away, but we have to be patient. I might play in the Club World Cup, but I won't start."

On the other hand, Juventus will face Genoa at home in the 30th round of the 2024/25 Serie A season, and Juventus must get back on track to increase their chances of qualifying for the Champions League.
