Vitor Pereira is proud of his players, team spirit is key to victory

Wolves manager Vitor Pereira believes the enthusiasm and team spirit shown by his players was key to their victory against West Ham United.  

Jurgen Strand-Larsen's match-winning goal took him into double figures for the season and Vitor Pereira believes the quality and spirit of his squad have been key in their move to a 12-point lead over the bottom three with eight games remaining.  

After the game, Vitor Pereira said: "Sometimes we need to express our passion because this is a very important moment for the club. We need to get points and bring positive energy to the fans. While we are working hard, the fans have been supporting us and giving us energy, so this victory is very important."  

"I think the first half was very exciting, and the team showed team spirit in the second half. Everyone endured the pain together and celebrated the victory together."  

"When I watch the team play, I see the team spirit. When we play with this spirit, the confrontation is not an easy thing. I believe we will achieve our goals and I also believe in the quality of the players. If we are not chasing points, we will play more games."  

Regarding Jurgen Strand-Larsen's 10th goal of the season, Vitor Pereira said: "I'm very happy for him. Football is teamwork and I felt that spirit. At the end of the game I was proud of my work. It's a great feeling."
