Jurgen Strand-Larsen: I am very happy to score for the team, it gives me confidence

Jurgen Strand-Larsen scored his 10th goal of his first season for Wolves against West Ham United in a 1-0 win. With his goal, Jurgen Strand-Larsen believed he had proven his quality to all those who doubted him.  

In this game, Jurgen Strand-Larsen scored a crucial winning goal midway through the first half to ensure his team could reach double-digit results in their first season. Although Jurgen Strand-Larsen won three points for Wolves, allowing the team to move 12 points ahead of the relegation zone, Jurgen Strand-Larsen believes that the team still has a lot of work to do if they want to continue to rise in the Premier League.  

"It was a crucial win, especially after we got the three points before half-time. So, I'm really happy," said Jurgen Strand-Larsen.  

“I think the weekend gave us enough time to rest, which helped us. All the people came from all over the world to support us, but everyone came back with a smile on their face because we finished the game before the break.”  

"I'm full of confidence, so I feel good. This goal is already the 10th and we still have eight games to play."  

"I think some people doubted my quality but I managed to show them what I can do. As a striker, sometimes things are up and down, that's how football is, sometimes things don't go well, but I was a little lucky in this game."  

"This win gives us more confidence to play the way we want to play. I think we played very well in the first half of this game, but in the second half it was more about getting points. If we could win the game in the first half, we probably would have won by two or three goals because we played really well in the first half."  

Regarding the new contracts of Joao Gomes and Jerson Mosquera, Jurgen Strand-Larsen said: "This is a big deal for the team. The team has signed new contracts with two excellent young players. Joao Gomes has played throughout the season and performed very well. The team needs to keep him for as long as possible."  

"Although Jerson Mosquera is injured, he was performing very well before the injury. Both of them are excellent players and I am looking forward to seeing them both on the court together next season and achieving more for the team together."
