Manchester United officially confirmed and announced on its official website on Tuesday that the club will visit Hong Kong and Malaysia again for friendly matches at the end of May.
According to Manchester United's official statement, in conjunction with the country's role as the host of the 2025 ASEAN Summit, the club will first fly to Malaysia on May 28 to play a post-season friendly match with the ASEAN All-Stars at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium, and then cooperate with the Hong Kong SAR government's promotional activities. Two days later, on May 30, they will visit Hong Kong and play a post-season friendly match with the Hong Kong All-Stars at the Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong.
Tickets for the matches are now officially on sale on the official online ticketing platforms. Fans holding memberships of the official Manchester United fan clubs in Malaysia, Hong Kong or the UK can pre-order them, while the general public must wait until April 11 to start buying tickets on the official ticketing website.
It is worth mentioning that this is the first time Manchester United has visited Hong Kong and Malaysia again after 12 and 16 years respectively.
The last time the Red Devils came to Hong Kong and Malaysia was in 2013 and 2009 respectively.
At that time, Manchester United fans in Malaysia even set an amazing record by fully booking the team’s hotel and adjacent hotels, and with nearly 90,000 fans from all over the world filling the Bukit Jalil Stadium, this shows how popular the Premier League giants are in the local area.
