Los Angeles Lakers head coach J.J. Redick's home destroyed by fire

Los Angeles Lakers head coach J.J. Redick confirmed that the home he was renting was engulfed by the Pacific Palisades wildfire, which also devastated the neighborhood surrounding the house.

The fire broke out on Tuesday during the Los Angeles Lakers' game against the Dallas Mavericks. Fortunately, Redick's wife and two sons were able to reach a safe area and stay away from the fire when the fire spread to their home.

Recently, after the Los Angeles Lakers practice, Redick was interviewed and mentioned that he was emotional about his home being destroyed by the fire. Redick also revealed that after the fire was extinguished, he went to Pacific Palisades to personally check the results of the fire.

"I wasn't prepared for what I saw," Reddick said. "It was just complete devastation and destruction. I had to take a detour to get home, but I went through most of the village and everything was gone. I feel like you can never be prepared for something like this, our home is gone."

"We've been together for almost 20 years, and 10 years of raising children, and everything that means anything to us is in that house. Some things can never be replaced, and material things don't matter."

"My family and I are dealing with the personal feelings of losing our home, and losing your home is painful beyond words. You never want anyone to go through that kind of loss, and it's a terrible feeling."

The Redick family rented this house last summer to plan whether to settle in Los Angeles. Unexpectedly, such an accident happened. It was a blow to Redick and his family. After all, there are many memories here, and all the cherished things were burned down by the fire.
