RB Leipzig official: 20-year-old Dutch midfielder Ben Zuzi will officially join from Ohawali this summer with a 5-year contract

RB Leipzig announced on Tuesday that 20-year-old Dutch midfielder Ezekiel Bentzouzi will join from Ohawari this summer on a five-year contract until June 30, 2030.

According to previous reports by German Sky Sports, Bentzuk's transfer fee was 16 million euros.

Regarding the joining of Bentzuk, RB Leipzig sporting director Marcel Schäfer explained: "We are very happy that Ezekiel has chosen to join RB Leipzig, even though other Bundesliga clubs and several clubs abroad have expressed strong interest in him. He is a typical B2B midfielder, tall, fast, strong and technically excellent."

As a central midfielder, he enjoys playing a big role in the game. He is a great passer of the ball and can also create a threat in the final third, especially from set pieces. He is young, motivated and has great potential, so he is exactly the player we wanted to sign. We are very happy that Ezekiel is willing to take the next step in his career with us."

Benzozi joined the NAC Breda youth training at the age of 11 and made his debut for the first team in the Dutch Cup on October 26, 2021. He joined Belgian First Division Ohavari for 1.2 million euros in July 2023. So far, he has made 71 appearances, scored 6 goals and provided 6 assists.

After completing the signing, Ben Zuqi said: "I am very happy that my future is in Leipzig. As we all know, RB Leipzig is an ideal place for young players to develop at the highest level. There are countless similar examples. The club made it clear that they very much want to sign me and have made clear plans for my future."

"The Bundesliga is also a very strong league. I am a person who gives my all on the pitch. I will always give my all and hope to win over the fans as soon as possible. Until the summer, I will continue to focus on Ohawali and our goals. After two very good years at Ohawali, I am very grateful to be taking the next step in my career."
