Wildcard Gaming returns to Dota 2

Wildcard Gaming, which quietly withdrew from the "Dota 2" arena in 2023, is about to officially return to the "Dota 2" competitive arena under the ownership of the well-known anchor Amouranth.

Amouranth is a very popular content creator who is active on multiple platforms and has 620 million followers on Twitch. In June 2024, Amouranth became a co-owner of Wildcard, which was her first foray into the e-sports industry.

Wildcard Gaming first entered the Dota 2 scene in 2021, becoming a regular season team in the now-defunct Dota Pro Circuit and the North American regional league. However, due to the decision of Dota 2 developer Valve Software to terminate the Dota Pro Circuit in 2023, Wildcard Gaming slowly withdrew from the Dota 2 scene.

Now, Wildcard Gaming has announced its return to Dota 2, hoping that this return can inject new vitality into the long-sluggish North American league. Unlike the first attempt, this time it is co-owned by Amouranth.

Wildcard currently has teams in three e-sports events, including Counter-Strike 2, Color Six: Siege, and the latest addition, Dota 2. Amouranth is very supportive of the team members and will personally attend some events.
