Dota 2 team OG officially parted ways with coach KheZu

On May 5, the veteran Western European Dota 2 team OG officially announced the end of its cooperation with coach KheZu, ending its seven-month coaching journey.

KheZu joined OG in October 2024. Originally, he joined in the hope of leading the new lineup to regain its momentum. However, the team fell into a continuous downturn and found it difficult to gain a foothold in the highly competitive Western European division, and eventually went for reorganization.

KheZu is a veteran in the Dota 2 community. He played for many international teams during his playing career and became a coach and event analyst after his retirement. KheZu has appeared in many world-class events such as The International and ESL One as a commentator and analyst, and is well recognized by the audience.

When KheZu joined OG in 2024, he took charge of a brand-new lineup that included Southeast Asian star player 23savage, Western European mid laner Nine, South American player Wisper, British newcomer Ari, and Malaysian veteran xNova.

Although the team was considered a "potential player" at the time, its actual performance was not ideal. OG finished last in the BLAST Slam I event in early 2025, and then lost again and again, with multiple qualifiers failing. They only managed to qualify for the third season of PGL Wallachia, but still finished last.

The team's struggles were also documented in the documentary "Lessons in Defeat" released by OG, revealing the challenges and pressures during the reconstruction period. Although KheZu chose to stay with the team for a while, he officially bid farewell to OG as the team's reorganization process began.

Currently, OG is working to rebuild its Western European main lineup and expand its territory to South America to form the OG.LATAM team. The official has not yet announced the dynamics of the new coach and future lineup.
