Riot Games Official: Support Los Angeles wildfire rescue and recovery efforts through in-game fundraising activities

Riot Games recently released a statement announcing that it will support the Los Angeles wildfire rescue efforts through an in-game fundraising campaign.

Wildfires in the Los Angeles area of California are still ongoing, affecting several game studios including Activision Blizzard and Insomnia. Riot Games, the developer of League of Legends, also closed all its offices in Santa Monica, California last week, retaining only key functions to maintain the normal operation of its games.

In order to support fire rescue and recovery efforts, Riot Games has confirmed that it will hold in-game fundraising events in its Valorant and League of Legends PC versions. According to Riot Games, Valorant EX.O series weapon skins and accessories will be available in the game store from January 22 to January 30, Pacific Time, and will be renamed the "Give Back Bundle". In addition, League of Legends will re-unlock the limited edition skin "Firefighter Tristana" launched in 2010 from January 23 to the morning of February 5. All proceeds will be donated to the Riot Games Social Impact Fund to support the California wildfires.

In addition to fundraising in the game, Riot Games also provides temporary accommodation, allowances and counseling services to affected employees to ensure their safety and health. The company also pledged to continue to support emergency rescue and long-term recovery efforts in Southern California, including providing donations, equipment and catering support to local fire departments and rescue personnel, and mobilizing employees to participate in volunteer disaster relief efforts.
