Aston Villa sign versatile Levante forward Andres Garcia on a four-and-a-half-year contract

Aston Villa released a statement on Tuesday, announcing that the 21-year-old Spanish all-rounder Andres Garcia has officially joined. Both parties signed a four-and-a-half-year contract until June 30, 2029.

Andrés García was transferred from Levante. His transfer fee is 7 million euros plus 2.25 million floating, and Levante will retain 15% of his future transfers.

Andres Garcia joined Levante's youth training at the age of 18 and made his debut for the first team in the King's Cup on January 3, 2023. He mainly plays as a right back in Levante, but can also play as a right winger as needed.

So far, Andres Garcia has made 50 appearances for Levante, scoring 4 goals and providing 6 assists.

Before joining Villa, Andres Garcia made a farewell speech to the fans through a video: "Levante is my second home. From the beginning, you accepted me as a member of the team. I have nothing but gratitude for the club. When I was on the pitch, all the memories came flooding back. I couldn't stop myself from breaking down because all these emotions and memories were already buried deep in my heart. I will treasure all these experiences in my heart forever.”

Andrés García also spoke highly of the environment and fans at Levante: “I think it’s hard to find a similar environment because Levante is a club that is like a family. My experience in the dressing room, my relationship with the fans The relationships with all the staff… There were so many people who were there to support me and help me at critical moments in my career.”

"Levante has an extremely good fan base, and their performance in every game fully proves this. Even when the club is at a low point, the fans always support us and encourage us to be brave and work hard."

Finally, Andres Garcia said: "Since the youth training stage, I have been working hard to enter the first team. If I can feel the enthusiasm of the fans for the last time, it will be a perfect ending and I will be very happy. Happy."
