Veteran Swedish Counter Strike 2 (CS2) club 9INE, announced that Wildcard AWP-er phzy has returned to the team on-loan.
According to 9INE's official statement, phzy will participate in the CCT Europe Series 4.
phzy will also replace mantuu, who was forced to miss the tournament due to an arm injury, as 9INE's starting AWP-er.
About phzy
Born in Sweden on September 24, 2002, phzy, a 22-year-old sniper, became a professional Counter Strike e-sports player in 2018.
phzy began his professional career with the Singularity Academy and CounterPoint. He first joined 9INE in August 2019, where he helped the team win the NorthSpawn LAN.
The following year, phzy played for Divine, Down2Earth, and Flowskola, delivering impressive individual performances in several C-level tournament qualifiers.
In 2021, phzy joined Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP)'s academy team, Young Ninjas.
As a member of Young Ninjas, phzy reached the finals of the Intel Extreme Masters Season 16 Winter and the ESL Pro League Season 15 finals, but finished second both times.
In August 2022, phzy was loaned-out to Sangal, but his performances were unsatisfactory.
The following October, phzy joined Rare Atom.
As a member of Rare Atom, phzy won the 5E Arena Spring once.
In July of last year, phzy joined Wildcard.
Over the past year, phzy has won CCT North America Series 2 and Frost and Fire Europe with the team, as well as participating in Stage 1 of the BLAST.tv Austin Major, achieving an average rating of 1.14.
In July of this year, Wildcard benched phzy and announced that he would be replaced by fr3nd, a player from their academy team who had been promoted to the main team.
After being benched, phzy competed as a substitute with Iberian Soul and won the The Proving Grounds Season 2.
