Champions League - Havertz scores as Arsenal beat Dinamo Zagreb 3-0

The battle for the 7th round of the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League continued. Arsenal, sitting at the Emirates Stadium, defeated Dinamo Zagreb 3-0 with goals from Rice, Havertz and Odegaard.

Two minutes into the game, Martinelli broke through the defense and sent a cross, Rice received Havertz's pass and volleyed the ball into the goal, helping Arsenal get a dream start with a score of 1-0. In the 14th minute, Gabriel received the ball outside the penalty area and shot from a distance, but the ball went wide of the post.

In the 21st minute, Dinamo Zagreb tried to counterattack. Ademi received a pass from his teammate and shot from a distance but missed. In the 24th minute, Rice made a long pass to the penalty area, Zinchenko headed the ball, and Sterling got the ball and shot but was blocked by the opponent. In the 38th minute, Arsenal captain Odegaard was tripped by Ademi while dribbling the ball, and the referee showed Ademi a yellow card warning.

In the 42nd minute, Arsenal continued to attack. Martinelli made a long shot in the melee, but because the angle was too straight, the ball was directly caught by the Dinamo Zagreb goalkeeper.

In the 49th minute of the second half, Havertz received a pass from his teammate in the penalty area and took a few steps before shooting, but the ball was cleared by the Dinamo Zagreb defender. In the 58th minute, Arsenal replaced Sterling and Timber with Nwaneri and Thomas Partey.

In the 66th minute, Martinelli made a cross after breaking through the defense, and Havertz jumped up and headed the ball into the goal, helping Arsenal continue to lead Dinamo Zagreb 2-0. In the 76th minute, Nwaneri made a lob pass to the penalty area, and Rice immediately stepped forward to head the ball but missed the target.
