FaZe official: EliGE was demoted to the bench and his position was replaced by jcobbb

The CS2 professional team FaZe officially announced on Friday that it would demote American player Jonathan Jablonski (ID: EliGE), who joined the team earlier this year, to the bench.

EliGE, a 28-year-old rifler, has played for teams including JusTus, SKDC, eLevate, Liquid, and COL. He spent the most illustrious eight years of his career with Liquid, winning numerous championships, including the CS:GO Season 2, the 2018 CS:GO Supernova Malta, the 2019 iBUYPOWER Masters, the 2019 IEM Sydney, the 2019 DH Masters Dallas, the ESL Pro League Season 9 Finals, the 2019 ESL One Cologne, the ESL Grand Slam Season 2, the 2019 BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles, the 2019 IEM Chicago, and the ESL Pro League Season 11 North America.

EliGE joined FaZe from COL in January of this year. To date, he has played 113 maps and 2,489 rounds for FaZe, racking up 1,803 kills with a 54.5% headshot rate and an average rating of 1.11.

Despite EliGE's consistent individual performance, his style of play was incompatible with FaZe's original style. Since EliGE joined, FaZe's best results have been a third-place finish at PGL Bucharest and a quarterfinal at the BLAST.tv Austin Major. More recently, they've suffered early exits at IEM Cologne, BLAST Bounty Hunter Season 2, and the eSports World Cup.

At the same time as EliGE's demotion, FaZe officially announced the signing of former Betclic player Jakub Pietruszewski (ID: jcobbb). The 21-year-old, considered one of the rising stars in Polish esports, joined Betclic from 9INE in November 2024. To date, he has played 201 maps and 4,422 rounds at Betclic, racking up 3,320 kills with a 64.7% headshot rate and an average rating of 1.23.
