Amorim believes Ganacho is improving in all aspects of his game

Chelsea are considering a move for Manchester United's Alejandro Ganaccio before the January transfer window closes, with Napoli, who have been interested in the signing, now turning their attention to Borussia Dortmund striker Calum Andemi. Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford's hopes of joining Barcelona are fading.

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has spoken about the future of winger Ghanacho amid Chelsea's continued interest in the youngster during the January transfer window.

Ganacho played the full game in Manchester United's 2-1 Europa League victory over Rangers on Thursday. In this game, Manchester United made five changes to the lineup compared to the defeat to Brighton last Sunday, and Ganacho was one of the most eye-catching players.

After the game, Amorim did not make it clear whether Ganaocho would continue to stay at Old Trafford before the end of January, but he affirmed Ganaocho's progress since he was abandoned due to poor performance before the Manchester City derby last month.

Asked if Ganacho had played his last game for United, Amorim said: "He is a Manchester United player now and today was very important for us. We will see in the next few days."

"I think he's improving in all aspects of his game. He was better inside and out today, able to switch positions, and his defensive tracking has improved. You can see that."

"Throughout the game he was trying to get back on defense and help the team. Sometimes he showed some frustration, which was actually good because it showed he wanted more."

Amorim also demanded more from the 20-year-old, adding: "I think he still has a lot of room for improvement in all areas of his game.

"What I can say is that he understood what I was doing and was very clear about my intentions. I just wanted to help him, but in the end, it's the players who decide the outcome."
