9INE announced that rifler phzy has been recalled back to Wildcard from loan earlier than expected..

Swedish Counter Strike 2 team 9INE announced on Wednesday via its official X (Twitter) account that Wildcard has recalled riler phzy earlier than expected, who is on-loan at their team.

According to 9INE's official statement, phzy's early recall was not part of their plan.

In fact, Wildcard had been seeking to recall phzy since early August. Despite numerous discussions between the two teams, they were unable to reach a satisfactory solution. Ultimately, the team reluctantly accepted Wildcard's early recall.

phzy will return to the United States and reunite with Wildcard today (September 4th).

Until a suitable replacement is found, the stand-ins will temporarily fill the vacancy left by phzy and compete in all upcoming LAN events for 9INE.

About phzy

Born in Sweden on September 24, 2002, phzy, a 22-year-old sniper, became a professional Counter Strike e-sports player in 2018.

phzy began his professional career with the Singularity Academy and CounterPoint. He first joined 9INE in August 2019, where he helped the team win the NorthSpawn LAN.

The following year, phzy played for Divine, Down2Earth, and Flowskola, delivering impressive individual performances in several C-level tournament qualifiers.

In 2021, phzy joined Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP)'s academy team, Young Ninjas.

As a member of Young Ninjas, phzy reached the finals of the Intel Extreme Masters Season 16 Winter and the ESL Pro League Season 15 finals, but finished second both times.

In August 2022, phzy was loaned-out to Sangal, but his performances were unsatisfactory.

The following October, phzy joined Rare Atom.

As a member of Rare Atom, phzy won the 5E Arena Spring once.

In July of last year, phzy joined Wildcard.

Over the past year, phzy has won CCT North America Series 2 and Frost and Fire Europe with the team, as well as participating in Stage 1 of the BLAST.tv Austin Major, achieving an average rating of 1.14.

In July of this year, Wildcard benched phzy and announced that he would be replaced by fr3nd, a player from their academy team who had been promoted to the main team.

After being benched, phzy competed as a substitute with Iberian Soul and won the The Proving Grounds Season 2.

He then joined 9INE on-loan.

During this time, he played in 59 maps across five tournaments for 9INE, achieving an average rating of 1.10, making him the team's top performer.
